This wiki's engine is pretty out of date but it isn't that out of date. See: "FULLPAGENAME"; I was using it on those pages to get alphabetical sort order under "*" for the category (they were out of order). -- BlindWanderer 00:56, 6 April 2009 (EDT)<br/>
P.S. You do good work.

Is "I E 7 P r o" a curse word on this wiki (without spaces of course)? -- BlindWanderer 02:04, 6 April 2009 (EDT)
Summaries
You will be pleased to hear I'm going to write a GM script to keep me from submitting until I've written a summary (interesting... when you post a new section there isn't a summary field) -- BlindWanderer 06:22, 6 April 2009 (EDT)
Summaries test
Yes there is... configure you preferences for this wiki... you should have already done that... I also recommend <===(keyword here) that you set minor edits as your default as well and only use major ones for emphasis.

Category:Code snippets
My idea was, that any article where someone uses Template:Good example will automatically be listed under :Category:Code snippets.
The only problem was that the template itself got included into the list since the template contains an example of how the template works...
But try re-adding the category tag and see how convenient it is to have it there.

: Alright we'll give it a shot... I think I know where you are going with it... Thanks for contributing here... it's a neat idea Marti 19:49, 29 April 2009 (EDT)

Specific revert: http://wiki.greasespot.net/index.php?title=UnsafeWindow&curid=1529&diff=3983&oldid=3980
I changed it in the first place because newbies (people who are looking at this page to begin with), may be confused and think their code has to be all on one line or in a string. The edit I made showed quite clearly that this isn't the case.
Plus, the original version makes two unnecessary calls to encodeURI and uneval. What do you think?
--aavindraa 01:30, 22 July 2009 (EDT)
:That's great that you simplified a beginning example, but most of that page is extremely redundant in the first place imho.  A lot of people don't quite understand why not to use unsafeWindow and what alternatives are available... but the community, including myself, appreciates ALL CONTRIBUTIONS whether they are simple or complex.  Taking away someones contribution is a last resort if it flat out doesn't work anywhere (and occasionally anytime).  I spent a bit of time wording "a more specific example" to reinclude that users contrib along with yours.  You brought up a point that you didn't think that /* */ means multiline... good point.  I use /* */ because when copy/pasting and the code still works and I didn't even think about multi-line... so your contrib includes that.
:Secondly... if you read the summary as to why... you would change the page ranking.  Not everything on here is just about coding... it's about exposure and presentation.  I know you know this already. Your view on "some" vs "most" is amusing because it's similar to "the glass is half empty vs the glass is half full".  In my case your xhr post is NEVER that content type but I'll leave it be as maybe that's what uso encounters more. I fall back on my old saying of "there's more than one way to skin a cat" a lot ... because there is. Marti 05:51, 22 July 2009 (EDT)
GM_xmlhttpRequest
Why did you revert my edits? Clearly, nothing is returned by any of those functions. It's like if you put what letter each function started with; really redundant information that just takes up space and confuses someone trying to learn.  --aavindraa 23:12, 14 September 2009 (EDT)
: The summary explains in general and since you want a specific... here it is... You are unfamiliar with this style of documentation format, and it requires that a "bit of redundancy" be in place so that confusion is avoided.  This is a standard format used in many reference books and several online sites.  As you are "clearly" unfamiliar with it you should ask before doing something like this.  You also aren't familiar with what is to come.  This article is patrolled by me and will be maintained in accordance with the last 2ish years that I've maintained it. Marti 23:21, 14 September 2009 (EDT)
:: Sorry that I don't spend time looking at every single detail going on at github. Regardless, isn't the point of open source that everyone can contribute? I don't think it's fair that you get the ultimate say in this article just because you've been maintaining it. Back to my edit-- other than "consistency" for some "greater cause", for what reasons do you disagree?
--aavindraa 23:34, 14 September 2009 (EDT)
::: A) This is my user page, not the GM_xmlhttpRequest talk page
::: B) If you would stop interrupting I would actually be able to respond without trying to merge your changes into mine.  Your impatience is CLEARLY showing.
::: C) I will respond to you at some later point because your attitude needs adjustment to continue with this.
:::: WOAH WOAH! Take it easy buddy! I am not impatient; I will wait for you to be free to discuss this. I do not have an attitude, at least in the sense that the word is commonly used to describe. It is ironic that you mention it though, because you are listing, using capital letters, quoting my words such as "clearly", etc... Since you so wish, I will continue this later, and on the GM_xmlhttpRequest page. I thought your user talk page would be appropriate because you reverted my edits, and I wanted to find out why. --aavindraa 23:50, 14 September 2009 (EDT)
Also, why did you change the comment back? navigator.userAgent is used if you do not specify it. --aavindraa 23:12, 14 September 2009 (EDT)
: I'm not finished yet and your impatience is showing quite clearly.  I'm dealing with a uso spammer which I never thought would happen... so give it more than just 4 minutes before you react please. Marti 23:21, 14 September 2009 (EDT)
:: You can't seriously tell me I am the impatient one when you almost instantly revert my edits without clear explanations. Remember that you aren't the only one who thinks you're right. --aavindraa 23:27, 14 September 2009 (EDT)
