I vote for renaming this page "User script engines". The existing name is a bit cumbersome. Arantius 12:12, 13 May 2007 (EDT)

I was planning to give it a shorter name, but it was suggested I make it more explicit for googleability. I don't think "User script engines" works well, since the page is (intended to be) about issues/tips relating to porting scripts or making scripts work in several user script engines. A "user script engines" page would be a great addition, and could link to this one, but I don't feel they should be one and the same page. --Henrik 14:23, 13 May 2007 (EDT)
-1 for rename. I think the current title better describes what the page is about. If anything, userscripting can be changed to scripting, but it's really fine as is, IMO. --Ldrhcp 21:20, 13 May 2007 (EDT)

There was a long list of software similar to Greasemonkey building up on the Greasemonkey Wikipedia page. I found it very useful, as a more complete copy of this page. But the list was removed from Wikipedia, so I have brought it here. I noted the migration of the list on the Wikipedia talk page: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Greasemonkey#Long_List_of_Similar_Software_was_removed

Oh I found a list here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_augmented_browsing_software I guess that makes our list redundant. Rather than having two copies, it may be best to remove the non-GM-like systems, after moving anything relevant to Wikipedia. Any objections? Joeytwiddle 14:03, 7 September 2009 (EDT)

Yes... deleting the page will break all kinds of links all over the web as well as change page ranking... Ideally it would be wise to keep an open mind here as well as have other browser users see the advantages to using GM over anything else. As far as redundancy goes that site doesn't list everything (neither do we) and some sites aren't accessible 100% of the time... brief cross-browser user scripting here is ideal as it is well established and referenced. Google Crome? Dose Google Crome have suport for userscripts? -- Puggan 10:57, 11 November 2009 (CET)

Would love to see this expanded to cover the differences for Google Chrome, and how to make scripts compatible.
